Chief Business Officer

We are looking for a Chief Business Officer (CBO) for a microfinance company in Uzbekistan, a results-driven leader with a passion for business development and a strong understanding of the microfinance industry. The successful candidate would join I.D. team, while being permanently seconded to Oasis Credit in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where I.D. is a shareholder and management service provider.

As Chief Business Officer (CBO), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of Oasis Credit, ensuring the company thrives in Uzbekistan’s dynamic financial landscape.

Your responsibilities:

· Building out a robust sales and business development strategy for the company

· Ensure the sustainable growth and achievement of the company’s ambitious business targets

· Oversee the development, launch, and management of products and services, ensuring they are competitive and meet the needs of customers

· Develop digital sales channels and drive digital business transformation, in parallel to expanding the company’s branch network across the country

· Seek and develop new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and commercial relationships to drive growth

· Build capacity in the business department and branch leadership

· Ensure a high level of employee productivity

Your profile:

· Around 10 years of banking / microfinance experience

· Strong track record of success in a senior sales leadership role

· You are a strategic thinker & problem solver with the ability to implementing hands-on solutions in a dynamic business environment

· High cross-functional collaboration capability

· Strong command of written and spoken English and Russian. Additional languages are a plus

· Business education or other exposure to theoretical business concepts

· Strong technical experience with CRM and other commercial tools

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level
